Single dari Rocket Rockers yang berjudul “Lost Heart Tour” ini dirilis secara gratis (free download) pada akhir tahun 2009 di purevolume.com dan sempat menduduki chart no.1 selama beberapa minggu menggeser posisi band international lainnya. Single ini dilempar kepasaran dengan gratis sebagai jembatan untuk rilisan album ke 4. Mastodon To Release ‘The Hunter’ September 27

Myspace: Mastodon will release their new album, The Hunter, on September 27 via Warner Bros. The record, a follow-up to 2009’s Crack the Skye, is a “jump-on-your-bed, get naked, and go streaking kind of record,” according to frontman Brent Hinds. The singer recently told SPIN.com, “I haven’t had this feeling about a Mastodon record since [2004's] Leviathan. It’s just fucking awesome.”

Myspace: Over the weekend a violent storm in Ottawa, Canada, caused the stage to collapse during an event called Bluesfest. The incident took place 20 minutes into Cheap Trick’s set and also prevented Death Cab For Cutie from performing on Sunday night.

Abandon All Ships Fire Two Members

Myspace: Abandon All Ships are apparently cleaning their decks. In an official statement the band recently released they explained that they recently gave guitarist Andrew Paiano and drummer Dan Paiano the boot, although the reasoning behind that decision remains fairly vague.

NME: Tom DeLonge has said Blink-182's break up was "stupid" and has blamed "the machine" around the pop punk trio for causing it.

Trent Reznor Tells Fans Not To “Waste Money” On CD

Myspace, USA: Musicians typically want audiences to buy their music, but we’re also pretty sure Trent Reznor has never been called “typical.” In that spirit he took to the Internet a few days ago to tell fans not to buy a newly packaged version of Nine Inch Nails’ 1989 breakthrough release Pretty Hate Machine.

Reznor wrote on his twitter page, which has nearly a million followers, “NIN fans, don’t waste your money on this version of PHM that was just released … a record label bullshit move repackaging the old version. Ignore please.” He also included a link to the full packaging layout on the band’s discography page.

But before you take Pretty Hate Machine out of your virtual shopping cart, you should be aware that Reznor is referring to a brand new edition of the album with slightly varied artwork, which shouldn’t be confused with a remastered version of Pretty Hate Machine which was released last November. Still considering that the disc was out of print from 1997 to 2005, we figure it couldn’t hurt to have too many versions of it floating around for those of you who don’t already own a copy. The Black Keys Finish Danger Mouse-Produced Album

Myspace: It’s only been 16 months since the Black Keys released their Grammy-Award winning album Brothers, but the band have reportedly already written, recorded and finished their seventh album, which frontman Dan Auerbach describes as being inspired by the Clash, the Cramps and old rockabilly and garage rock.

The upcoming album was produced by Danger Mouse—who also worked on the Black Keys’ last two albums—and will be released later this year. “The new album doesn’t sound like Brothers,” Auerbach recently told SPIN.com. “It doesn’t have that open soul feel to it. It’s way more driving and the tempos are really fast.”

When pressed for more details, Auerbach explained that the band’s latest album also sees the band embracing a group dynamic this time around. “I’ve never been into guitar solos. I really like when every instrument in the band is a rhythm instrument,” he explained. “This record has a lot of that going on — guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards all working together as a rhythm instrument. But unlike Brothers, which has more of these slower songs with an open feeling, [the new LP] is definitely fast.”

Tahap Penyeleksian
1. Semua lagu yang masuk akan diseleksi secara tertutup oleh Jean Martin (Attack City Records) dan Miftah Faridl (Prima Indie), dan penilaian tersebut mencakup:

• Kualitas Rekaman
• Materi lagu

2. Setelah semua band diseleksi akan terpilih 20 lagu terbaik yang menurut kita sudah sesuai standar mulai dari kualitas rekaman dan materi lagu *kita akan memberikan toleransi kepada band yang punya materi bagus namun kualitas rekaman masih kurang dan kita akan meloloskan dengan syarat harus rekaman ulang
3. 20 lagu yang terpilih akan diseleksi untuk mendapat 5 terbaik, dan akan diseleksi oleh perwakilan dari 8 band utama *hal ini dilakukan agar penyeleksian bisa lebih objektif dan adil
4. 5 band yang lolos dikenakan biaya Rp. 200.000.- *ketentuan lain akan dibicarakan lebih lanjut
5. 5 band akan bermain di release party album kompilasi "Eksistensi Tanpa Batas"
